Hi Mike, > ... QTR ... matte heavyweight ... print, with the > full UT2 inkset in play, ... > Worked right out of the gate and the print looked just > like I wanted, warm and just as I imagined. So, it sounds like you found or made a QTR profile that used all the inks, including the sepia. If you want warm, getting the cool inks out of the mix is best. The less color in the print the better, as long as the banding is under control. > The only problem I've experienced is trying to use your curves and > following the procedure for those to print the 21 step_black.tif > file. Any ideas? My write-up is at http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/UT2-Readme.htm Several workflows are outlined there. Using the curves is usually the best and similar to QTR. Make sure the settings are correct with the curves. They are under subtitle 2, "IMAGE EDITOR ADJUSTMENT CURVES." I have a number of 21-step test files posted. The format that I use most today is at http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/21-Step.jpg Without more information on the nature of the problem, I'm not sure what more I can tell you.
