Digital BW, The Print

I recently purchased a box of HPR that I didn't realize was the Satin MK version - until 
after I opened it.  So now I'm trying to print with it and asking for some help.  (Mac OS X, 
10.4.11)

I downloaded the icc profile from the Hahnemule site and placed it in the ColorSync 
folder. I understand this to be an RGB profile.  Correct?

I changed my B&W image to Mode/RGB in PS/CS3 then printed (R2400, K3 ink) with 
various settings.

The best result, though not very good, was gotten with these settings in the print 
dialogue:
Color handling: PS manages color
Printer profile: HFA2400PhotoRagSatinMK
Rendering: Perceptual, BPC

And in the second print page: no color mgmt.

I've gone through quite a bit of ink and paper getting this far, and it's not far enough.  For 
instance, aside from problems with tonal reproduction, there appears to be a gloss 
differential.

Has anyone optimized the printing workflow for this paper.  Should I be using PK instead 
of MK (there are profiles for both)?

Your advice appreciated.
