Digital BW, The Print

Sometime back a waiting list was posted to Geo somthing or other...
I got a call today asking if I wanted mine? would be shipped tomorrow.

I passed but wanted to let people know they are wading through the 
waiting list.  I believe there are about 50 people on it.

I passed because I think I'll get a 1270 or 1280.  Part of the 
allure  of the 1160 is the monochrome printing ability of the extra 
black heads but that doesn't seem to be such a big deal, or is 
balanced by, the 6 ink set for smoothness when using Quads(?).

To restate it - if you are using Quads, what's the advantage of the 
extra black heads, monochrome ability of the 1160?

Might kick myself later but I have time to wait for upcoming printers 
while the current stuff gets cheaper :-)

What I can't decide is do I put color in a 1270/80 and make my 3000 a 
Quad printer?  Or since I rarely do color leave the Color Lysons in 
the 3000 and make the 1270/80 a Monochrome Hex printer?
