What I'm hearing is you can, but you shouldn't.

I'm inclined to give away or sell the Epson Standard Proofing Paper, 
switch to Matte Black ink, and keep using the papers I'm used to.

One more 7600 question:  Must I go through the changeover process in 
going to Matte black ink, or can I just switch carts and expect that 
after a few prints the new ink will have worked its way in?
