Digital BW, The Print

Unfortunately B&W on a 1280 with OEM Epson Inks wiil NOT produce a decent black and white..Same applies to any of their older dye-based printers.....However if you are willing to dedidacte this machine to doing B&W ONLY, MIS associates has the answer with a set of variable tone black inks called 'UT-2"..I've been using them for about 3 years with their refillable  spongeless cartridges which may oar may not be currently available..Your BEST bet is to get a new or re-furbished Epson model 2400 which will do color or B&W VERY nicely, with the least amount of effort on your part..

  hello. i scanned my medium format black and white negatives. they look
  great on the monitor after working with them on photoshop 6.0.

  when i print them they have a bluish cast to them. does anyone any
