Antonio..I don't think the 2200 would be a "best" choice..I don't see alot of support for it..Again, I would go for a new or refurbished 2400 for your needs..

  i shoot medium format. i'm trying to get away from a
  wet darkroom because i live on ranch and can not use
  the chemicals. the college lab is 42 miles away.

  what do you think of the epson 2200 printer for b/w
  printing?
