Hi folks: I recently wrote an article for Adorama's "100 in 100" series about the Shadow/Highlight or "Fill" light control in Photoshop CS2/CS3, as well as other applications. It is a great way to open up dark areas to give images a look that approaches what you can achieve with HDR photography. For more info about HDR, I would do an online search for "HDR photography", or on popphoto.com (Jack Howard has many good articles there). The article, which includes a black and white before and after image, as well as the Photoshop CS3 Shadow/Highlight filter screen shot, can be found here: http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?article=061808&op=academy_new or here: http://tinyurl.com/4bod8g All the best, Andrew --------------------------------------------------- Andrew Darlow Editor, The Imaging Buffet http://www.imagingbuffet.com Author, 301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques: An Essential Printing Resource for Photographers - http:// www.inkjettips.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
