The CIS manufacturer will doubtless give you instructions on this subject but with my CIS (from MIS Associates) they specify to have the bottles at the same level as the printer. Having the bottles too high might cause an excess of ink in the carts and too low might cause ink starvation. But be guided by the instructions you receive with your CIS. Good luck! However space is a problem in my cramped studio / bedroom. I have set up a shelving system that takes up most of the space in my closet (don't ask) and which already contains a 3800, my laptop, and sundry other hardware. One more shelf is available for the 1400. At issue is whether I can place the CIS bottle bundle above or below the shelf upon which the printer will rest since there won't be room to place it beside the printer, the usual approach (probably for good reason). I'd appreciate feedback from those that have run into similar CIS space issues and what the best solution would be, if there is one at all. Cheers, Jens [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
