RE: [Digital BW] Question about CIS bottle positioning

2008-08-08 by Tom Maugham

The CIS manufacturer will doubtless give you instructions on this subject
but with my CIS (from MIS Associates) they specify to have the bottles at
the same level as the printer. Having the bottles too high might cause an
excess of ink in the carts and too low might cause ink starvation. But be
guided by the instructions you receive with your CIS.

Good luck!

Subject: [Digital BW] Question about CIS bottle positioning

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in picking up a new Epson 1400 & a CIS system. However
space is a problem in my cramped studio / bedroom. I have set up a
shelving system that takes up most of the space in my closet (don't
ask) and which already contains a 3800, my laptop, and sundry other
hardware. One more shelf is available for the 1400. At issue is
whether I can place the CIS bottle bundle above or below the shelf
upon which the printer will rest since there won't be room to place it
beside the printer, the usual approach (probably for good reason).

I'd appreciate feedback from those that have run into similar CIS
space issues and what the best solution would be, if there is one at
all.

Cheers,
Jens
