Digital BW, The Print

Hi,
I'm considering upgrading to a 3800 and wondered how much ink is used when you change from mk to pk.

Although it has both cartridges installed, it still flushes the lines to the print head - does anyone know if it uses as much ink doing this as a 4880 does when swapping cartridges?

I wonder what the problem is that Epson has had with this operation - haven't HP and Canon solved the swapping problem?
