Hi everyone. I've just bought me a Epson 3800 that I want to use mostly for B&W printing (so I guess I will use the ABW driver). But prior to printing I did a lot of reading on www. On the site of Eric Chan, dedicated to this printer, I found some recommendations that I would like to have your opinion on. These are: 1) The "Finest detail" setting is for vector graphics. For Photographs you'd better turn it off. 2) Print Quality setting: choose 2880 dpi for reflective papers (i.e., papers that use Photo Black, such as glossy, luster, and semigloss papers) and 1440 dpi for matte papers (i.e., papers that use Matte Black). 3) Before you print, you should resample your photograph in Photoshop to the native printer driver resolution of 360 pixels/inch (ppi). Or when you use the "Finest detail" setting, resample to 720 pixels/inch (ppi). If you don't the driver will interpolate for you! Do you agree with the above? Thanks in advance. Igor Holland
