I'll check the packaging on my samples tomorrow to see if there is any clue
on the ingredients.  My guess is that it is an acrylic of some kind as it is
water based.

  Today I got a sample from a local colleague of "Eternacryl Inkjet
  Lamination Matte". This is obviously an acrylic medium, I suspect
  identical to the paint medium I can get at my local art shop. I just
  applied it on a smaple and now wait for it to dry. I used a foam brush,
  I guess that was not a good idea. But I have an airbrush lying around,
  so spraying should not a problem.
