I have also run a 3800 for over a year and have a couple of additional comments comments: 1. Relative to the 22 inch length: I have used third party 17x25 paper to print 16x24 for some time now using the "normal" top paper path. If I recall correctly the front and rear paths are limited to 16" width. 2. Relative to the larger ink carts being more expensive: While the carts may be more expensive what you should be looking at is the $ per ounce. The cost per ounce for the 3800 carts is a LOT less than that for the 2200/2400. I have not checked but I'd expect the cost per once for the larger 4880 carts to be less per ounce than for the 3800.
