Hello Paul, >So, how do I do that? Re-scan the image? (I scanned an 8 x 10 >conventional silver print) or do I somehow do that in Photoshop? In PS. First make a copy of the image file and open that in PS. Then go to the \Image\Image Size menu item - this opens the Image Size dialog window. Check the Resample Image checkbox and select Bicubic in the picklist, and also be sure the Constrain Proportions box is checked. Then in the Pixel Dimensions groupbox, increase either the Height or Width (in Pixels) about 10% or so. Whichever one you change, the other will change automatically to keep the same proportion. Then click OK. This will increase the resolution of the image, which may or may not eliminate the banding problem in the print. It did for me, but we don't know if this is the same kind of problem - it's just an experiment. Let us know what happens.
