Hi Paul and djon: I agree that the wheels have to be clean for any feeding technique to work. I usually take a letter-sized sheet of heavy paper (80# cover) and spray about a 3 inch strip across the 8.5 inch dimension (toward the middle) with windex, and then run it through a few times. The pre- feed should then help.
