Ever since my 1280 died, I have missed the ability to easily experiment with different tones (cool, warm, sepia). Also, having the desire to be able to use semigloss or luster media for B&W images and not have to use a third combination of carts in my R1800, I thinking of trying the following ink setup: Y - MK M - PK C - MK MK - MK PK - PK R - R B - B GO - GO This setup will allow me to vary the tone using QTR and different combinations of red for warming and blue for cooling. It would also only require switching out three carts to go from Epson's ink setup and the use of the Epson driver to fully flexible B&W QTR printing. The reason for two PK's and three MK's is that since the R1800's seem to need 3 black slots to avoid banding, I figured I could use the MK and GO for the third "PK" slot. Before I start, I thought I'd see if any of you more experienced have any thoughts on the ink order. Thanks in advance.
