I just bought some Rising Conservation board from United Manufacturers 
for $6.40 32x40. I've found them to be realible and resonable. It's not 
the Museum Board, but it's not $18 either. You only have to buy 15 
sheets.

"Rising Conservation Board is a non-rag, high alpha content, lignin 
free mounting and matting board. Conservation Board is also acid free 
and buffered with calcium carbonate."
