Mike, well I first have to sheepishly admit that I had neglected to
take a good look at what came with the printer, and the manual. I've
gone through so many Epsons I have become a bit assuming about my
knowledge of them. So I was initially excited that there is this feed
system for thick papers that may overcome the shortcomings of the 1400
system.
However I was not able to make it work from QTR. Works fine from the
Epson driver when the instructions from the manual are followed. But
From QTR I just get an immediate flashing feed light when I hit print.
If I then hit that button, it backs the paper back out and continues
flashing. The only way I can then proceed is to put the paper up in
the normal feed mechanism and hit the button again, it then feeds and
prints from there.
So, from the back, I'm not even getting what you are, thin air, or on
paper. There is a new version that states QTR now supports the 1900,
and that is what I'm using. So, I can confirm rear feed with QTR is
not working for me, but I can confirm the behavior you describe.
