Rob, Yes, I refill the R1800. I do black only printing with MIS' Eboni ink in the two black and the glop positions, using Paul Roark's workflow. In the color positions, I use the OEM color carts in their original positions. After the color ran out I refilled them with MIS Cleaning Fluid and do so whenever the Tool Kit shows them to be low. As for the three black positions, I started with the MIS carts pre-filled with Eboni, from MIS, and now that they've run out I refill those as well. The refill techniques are different. For the OEM carts I use the MIS OEM refill kit and for the black positions I use the MIS technique for the spongeless carts. I hope this is the information you're looking for! Let me know if I can tell you more, Paul --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, RobLee <roblee007@...> wrote: > > do you refill R1800, if so what carts and ink do you use? > > --- On Tue, 12/23/08, Paul Whiting <paulmwhiting@...> wrote: > From: Paul Whiting <paulmwhiting@...> > Subject: [Digital BW] Re: Refilling OEM Epson Cartridges > To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com > Date: Tuesday, December 23, 2008, 12:27 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > --- In DigitalBlackandWhit eThePrint@ yahoogroups. com, Brubaker family > > <brubaker_family@ ...> wrote: > > > > > > One trick I've used to prevent the printhead spikes from drying out > > is to cover them with (clean) wet toilet tissue while I have the carts > > out. > > > > > > Mike Brubaker > > > > Thanks Mike, sorry I didn't see your suggestion earlier.
