Mounting Techniques(was Signing Prints)

2002-02-12 by mkravit

I think we discuss this from time to time, but for those people that
have not read the list before, there are a number of pays to present
your images. Perhaps a few people could jump in and describe how they
present their art.

I over matt all of my prints with Westminster Museum Boards for both
the mount board and the over mat. I like at least a 4-6" wide mat on
the top and sides and an additional 1-2" on the bottom. I do not
drymount but us Light Impression Archival Acid Free Conservation
Mounting Corners.

I sign and date my prints with a 3B soft lead drawing pencil in the
lower right hand corner of the print. I place the title in the lower
left hand corner. For the most part I do not number my prints.
