Digital BW, The Print

I think I've got myself in a corner. Here's the situation:

I have an R220 and an R1800. In the R220 I have Eboni in the black
slot and cleaning fluid in the other five. I have been printing note
cards, two to an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet, using WordPerfect. I have some text
on the back and the front contains a b/w jpg file that, as it loads
into WP, gets converted to their graphic format. I choose the BO
option in the R220 driver. Results are great.

But I can't do that on the R1800 because there is no BO option. In
that printer I've been getting very satisfactory prints, with no text,
using Paul's 3MK workflow and QTR. But the files have to be in .tiff
and of course my WordPerfect file is a .wpd file. I could print a
notecard in .tiff but there are two problems: 1) how to format the
placement of the photo so it folds neatly into a notecard format and
2) how do I add text?

Is there some other solution? It seems the only way to get BO in the
R1800 is with a .tiff file. QImage maybe?
