And if you combine those 2 thoughts with my desire to hold down costs, 
you can see rather clearly where I'm going.  OEM (like HP neutral gray) 
pigs on our old Epson printers for cheap.

(I did once have custom pistons made -- for a Panhard aluminum, air 
cooled flat twin. The more things change ...)
