Many thanks, Roger!Regretfully, all my workarounds failed. Will try to shim the cartridges before trying the printer with original Epson color cartridges that came with it.

            It could be a few things.



In my R220, the carts don't seat right.  I have to shim them with

folded up pieces of paper wedged between the cart and the back tab to

make the chip touch the printer properly- it might take a few tries to

get enough paper for the carts to be recognized.



You can try using a chip resetter on the carts it doesn't recognize.



If that fails you can also swap out chips for new ones or swap chips

off of Epson carts on to your refillable ones.
