of course this is very interesting, and the effort impressive. But I have to say it's a big leap to say that this single experience is indicative of 3rd party inks in general. Epson loves this stuff. This list is full of 3rd party ink users with many years of experience, certainly if problems of this kind were frequent we'd know about it here. I've been using specialty monochromatic ink sets for many years, those I use now for about 7 years, with no printer performance problems related to the ink whatsoever.
