I'm trying it now. I've only worked with the automatic settings and haven't been able to access the customizable features yet. It can sometimes bring out significant features in shadow areas, but it seems to have a strong tendency to darken some highlight areas e.g., sky, that looks strange. So, I can't be definitive.
