I am using the free demo on a Mac Pro.  It comes as a plug-in and a script.  Both run well but require a lot of processing power.  They give a greater sense of depth to black and white photos - not color.  It works well in some but tends to darken some areas such as blue skies and alters the whole tone of the picture.
