Re: MIS CFS Install Problem on 1280

2009-06-02 by mbrouphy

Answering my own post:

After reading through the posting on the inksupply.com web site I reseated both cartridges real solidly but not after preloading the ink into the cartridges. This was the problem: air. The carts won't suck up ink if there's air or bubbles in them. So, using the syringe I had I drew in 10 loads of ink, one at a time and squiring the ink back into the bottle. I reseated the carts real solidly and ran a purge6 test but only black came out. Then I tried a standard Epson clean/print cycle and 4 of the 6 at least printed something. After four clean/print cycles the test were within one segment each. A rerun of the purge6.tif print looked great except for some banding in the Lc cart used for light gray.

For now I can deal with the banding which should work itself out while I do the QTR calibrate procedure for the Red River Greenpix paper.

Any other ideas please feel free to send them along...Mike
