C. David:  I have Spyder 3 and an Apple Cinema display, but the lowest I can go is 120 or so.  Will the Datacolor solution still maintain 256 levels even though it might use 80 or 90 for the Cinema display?  When will the Datacolor solution be ready?  Thanks in advance.  Jim

  It works, but it loses you levels in the process. If you dim the 
  display to half its lowest physical setting, then you have lost half 
  the available levels; instead of being able to display 256 levels, you 
  can only display 128. Thats the compromise this entails.
