Rosco or Lee Neutral filters are not for their color temperature. Any ND filter that you put in place and calibrate/profile through should be fine, but they do fade unless you get the extremely expensive Rosco di-chroic filters that they recently introduced. I tried to get some samples of their colored di-chroic filters and they said it was so new that they didn't have any samples available, and then when I saw the price I decided we could go a long way with gels and still not hit the price point of the di-cro material. Disadvantages would be the shiny surface and almost impossible to keep the "wrinkles" flat.
