I really like Canson Rag Photographique, which is similar to HPR. Photographique is the sharpest matte paper I've ever used. I'm getting a Dmax of 1.63 with a custom Cone curve and K7 Special Edition inks. The paper has a nice weight and is reasonably priced. I'm also using Canson BFK Rives. It is slightly warmer, and has a very nice, yet subtle, texture. Dmax with Cone curve and K7 is 1.59. Canson also makes an etching paper, along with a number of other textured offerings. Terry.
