Hi folks, I am printing with an Epson C88+ printer configured with a MIS CFS system. It works pretty well, but I notice a few cleaning cycles are required if I have not printed in a few days. I understand that this is par for the course in a dry desert environment. Since I planned to be away from my office for over a week, I devised a way to keep my print heads from drying out. I found a cardboard box that fits over my printer(paper support removed) as well as a tall narrow plastic container to hold water. I did not remove any cables but folded some duct tape along the bottom edge of the box. The loose tape pretty much closes the openings along the bottom of the box. I was away for 10 days and came back to a perfect test pattern-ya! To my surprise the water in the container was down about 3/4" The container I chose for the water was about the size of a binocular case(tall and narrow), since this fit well against the side of the printer. I offer this as a simple, inexpensive method to keep printers functioning in the desert-it worked for me. Lincoln
