Digital BW, The Print

Hi Folks,

I have a balky R1800 and I need to replace a couple of MIS carts but I'd like to do it without wasting ink when the printer automatically performs a head cleaning.  Is there a trick?  I've tried to unplug the printer, turn it off, swap carts, and then plug it back in, and turn it back on.  The printer then goes and does a cleaning cycle.  Is there a way around this?
