Interesting topic.  I'm building an ASUS/i7 system.

> C:\OS, Apps (WD Caviar Black 1TB)
> D:\Data (WD Caviar Black 1TB)
> E:\Backup (WD Caviar Black 1TB)
> F:\Scratch (WD Raptor 150GB 10K)

I was going to use a WD Velociraptor 300 gb for the OS/applications, and a [Z] SSD for the cache/scratch disk. Data of course would be on other drives & a RAID 5 NAS (NOT A DROBO!!!)

 Any thoughts?
