RE: [Digital BW] Tissue paper

2009-11-09 by Steve Woolfenden

The tissue going through your printer may not be your only problem - you may
find the resin [or one of its constituents , I think its styrene?] will
cause the ink to "run" or "blur" when the board is glassed . I strongly
suggest you experiment first by painting a coat of resin over a test pic and
see what happens!
Best of luck!

Hi all,

Has anyone on the list had any experience printing onto Japanese tissue
paper

I am contemplating trying to print onto some for lamination under the
fibreglass on a Surfboard.

I'm not sure if the ink will wick onto the fibres or not.
However I am most interested in finding out what anyone might suggest
using to tack the tissue paper onto to get it to feed through an Epson 3000

I am going to print long, around about 6' or about 165cms if you think
in metric

I am almost thinking along the lines of very thin signage plastic and
attaching or even taping then ends

thanks

Glenn
