If you order your ink from MIS, be sure to look at the label on the bottles to make sure it's the ink that you ordered. I was seconds away from screwing up a new CIS when I just happened to glance at the label on the ink bottles and noticed that they had sent me the FS inkset, not the VM inkset that I had ordered! From your comment, it looks like they've done this on more than one occasion. > by using a Q- > tip on Kleenex to confirm they are different densities? I ordered my CIS from Inkjetart and received no instructions... just all the parts thrown into a box. Everything was fine, of course, but it would have been nice to receive printed instructions. I used the instructions listed on their web site without problems. > > Have we, as a group, developed a checklist of things to make sure > installation goes smoothly? :-) > One thing that I noticed is that everytime I turn my printer (870) on, it goes through a charging cycle. This sometimes leaves some ink deposits on my first print. What I do now is to first run a nozzle check, which usually cleans things up. Other than that, I'm very happy with the way my prints are looking. Guess my darkroom is going to get a little dusty ;-). Ed
