Thanks for info Paul. Justin at MIS tech support wrote me, "Our inks are chemically compatible with the Epson inks, so you can just load them and charge the printer with the new ink." However I guess it makes sense to fill the lines with a buffer of base and let it sit awhile.

Is there a downside (other than time) to printing purge pages to run new ink through the lines, or is it better to use the purge for transport and initial fill option?

Mine is spoken for. They are good printers. I'm glad you've moved to a 7800, I was concerned that if a 7500 was good enough for Paul, it should be more than good enough for me.
