Just to make things even more interesting, there is a 3rd independent attribute that affects our paper experience (printer feeding, curl control, etc), and that is stiffness.

For example, Generations Alise Natural is much stiffer than the slightly heavier and thicker Velvet Fine Art:

 VFA  260 gsm, 19 mil 
 GAN  250 gsm, 16 mil
