The value in the Vivera inks being designed to fade at the same rate, gray and color, it seems to me, is that for "toned monochrome", like sepia and such that I do a lot of, you wouldn't see the disparity as much as the other inksets over time. Of course with Wilhelm's Epson tests he lumps all "black and white" variations as one thing. I don't know if he tested just "neutral" targets or what. Unlike Mark's methods, there is no way to tell what he's testing because you can't see the patches as they change over time. j
