Regarding the removal of MIS cart: can they be reinstalled and if so, what is the best way to store them?

I've been informed off list that at least some MIS chips will run in the 1400 with the OEM Epson Claria K cart installed. Please let me know your experiences. I'll buy a Claria 1400 K cart also to test the MIS chips I have.
