Hi David, It's pretty simple to explain, 1) Use Epson because that's what everyone else does, so lots of support. 2) If you are on a tight budget then you want to get either an R800 or R1400 if not then the R1900 is the printer of choice. 3) Inks - well if you have $$ buy Cone inks from Inkjetmall, if not them home brew. http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/ is the home brew Guru. More info on the printers there as well. I am in UK as well. So if you need more info on where to get what - just ask.
