OK, I quit! I have a badly clogged 4800 that needs a new home. Unit is clean and has had relatively low usage. I'm an amateur photographer, not a print shop. In fact, I'm sure that infrequent use is what led to the clog. Clog first happened about a year ago. Printer is loaded with MIS K4 pigment inks. I tried regular and power cleanings, soaking the head in a puddle of Windex, using a cloth strip, etc, all to no avail. I needed to print for a show, so I bought a Canon iPF5100 and put the Epson aside. Last week I pulled it out and repeated all the tricks -- still badly clogged. I live in the SF Bay Area (east bay, near Walnut Creek). Please email me if you're interested. I can help you load it into your vehicle. I also have a bit of MIS K4 ink and a large-format chip resetter that go with the 4800. The unit is fitted with refilled Epson 220ml carts, averaging about 1/3 full. Ink is probably outdated by now. Free to good home... I need the floorspace! [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
