QTR soft proof

I am a neophyte with QTR.When making corrections and changes in tones in  
QTR ,how do you bring up a soft proof to see what the changes look like 
before  printing,

I have a brief description of some of the options starting on page 14 of http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Carbon-BW-2010.pdf 

I, frankly, worry about the relative densities and not so much the color.  Note also that I use Windows, and the QTR procedures are, in some ways, different between Windows and Mac.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
