R2400 driver no longer allows ABW with an ICC profile

R2400 driver no longer allows ABW with an ICC profile

2011-01-24 by fivetonsflax

Dear all,
I believe this started when I accepted a software update from Apple last night. Now, when I print with an ICC profile from Lightroom, the Epson R2400 driver disallows ABW mode.

Having gone to the trouble and expense of having my printer profiled in ABW mode, I'd sure like to be able to use the profile! Any idea what's going on here, and what I can do about it?

Thanks,

Ben Rosengart

Hi Ben:

I think you just want to reinstall the driver you had. I would try this: Go to the Apple in the top left>System Preferences>Print and Fax, then highlight the printer, and click on the "-" button. Then click on the "+" button and reload the driver that's already in the system-look for the one that says Epson USB.

If that doesn't work, unplug the printer, go to the Apple in the top left>System Preferences>Print and Fax, then highlight the printer, and click on the "-" button. Then download the newest driver for your Operating System. Then plug in the printer and see if that works.

Hope that helps,

Andrew

Thank you, Andrew. That did the trick nicely.

Gratefully yours,

Ben
