1400 Question re Ink Bottle

loading the cartridges went more smoothly and with much less mess (though I am in doubt as to what to do about loading ink into a syringe after the ink level in the bottles gets below the length of the needle). ******************** Since I have been refilling since 1995 and this is almost always a problem I have found shorter bottles at places like The Container Store and at Walmart. Get Large Mouth and you can go into the bottle with the syringe just have paper towels or toilet paper handy not really very messy just a bit on the syringe where it touches the opening and the needle which you should always wipe anyway. I am currently using Rubbermaid MixerMate 1 pint bottles from Walmart around $2 each they have a large lid with a smaller snap on pouring lid so when refilling the bottle stays closed except for a 3/4 inch hole the syringe and 2 inch needle will go to the bottom when needed and leave about 1 inch of the body exposed plenty to grab while the plunger is pulled These have a and they are graduated at 100 ml points so you know how much is left. This size works well for Black ink which I order in Quarts and refill often. But I have used the bottles from The Container Store which are less its been a while but for 100 to 200 ml less than $1 I actually like them better as they are shorter and have a "Leakproof" screw Lid not that I have ever had a Rubbermaid leak from the snap on pour spout.
