Epson Artisan 1430

Epson Artisan 1430

2012-03-19 by Lynn

I wanted to buy an Epson 1400 for printing B-W but find it has been
discontinued as of 3/3/12. It seems the 1400 has been replaced with the
Artisan 1430. The specs of the two machines seem almost identical and
they use the same cartridge. Anyone testing the 1430 with the Eboni-6
inset?

So far all of our test with the 1430 duplicate the results from the 1400. We have tested the UT14 inks and the D2 color inks with the results being identical. It would be safe to assume that the EB6 would be the same. We have also tested the 1430 with QTR without issue, though we recommend waiting until it is officially supported.

All of our tests were run on a Mac, so we still need to confirm that the Windows Drivers produce the same results.

The only difference I've heard so far is that the 1430 can go wireless.

Yes, the 1430 has WiFi which is useful.
