Epson R2400 @^#&#(*@!#@*

Three days with my second hand/ mint condition Epson 2400 and still can't printout a simple good b&W photo..Thus I have paid 60euros for two(!!) Light Magenta, 1 Cyan, 1 Photo Black and goes on.
Suddenly two cartridges with approx. 25% ink have gone in one single A4 B&W print. All the print attempts done with A4 175gr Canon mat paper.
What I'm doing wrong ??

Well, I can't answer your question but can say that of all the epson printers I've owned
(5 or 6 of them), the 2400 has never clogged, and believe it or not prints with perfect nozzle
tests even after a three month shut down. If only their other printers behaved like that!

Clearly your printer has a serious problem, and from what you wrote you're not doing anything wrong.
However, it sounds as if your "second hand / mint condition Epson 2400" is not so " mint", after all.
Perhaps you could get your money back.
Good Luck

Thanks for the reply Clayton..
It never clogged (till know) but the b&W prints are coming dull and midtoned with no the sparking contrast of the silver prints I used to print by myself in my darkroom.
Aha! the remained cartridges are chinese refilled and not Epson!!
I have to go with an absolutely new set of ink to see what will happenned.
I'm -one week - new in digital printing..
