Announcing New QTR-Print-Tool Application for Mac OS X

Announcing New QTR-Print-Tool Application for Mac OS X

2012-10-03 by Roy

The new QTR-Print-Tool program is now available for general use.

This is a completely new program for layout and printing of images on OS X.
It works with any print driver not just QTR. So although it looks like a
QTR standalone front end it really is much more general purpose and a
separate product.

There is a free 30-day trial. To use the product after that you need to
purchase a serial number for just $39.

See: http://www.quadtonerip.com/html/QTRprinttool.html

This is an automated process that will email the purchaser of QTR-Print-Tool
a serial number that unlocks the app. Note that the QTR driver is still the
same $50 but does not have a serial number.

Thanks,
Roy Harrington

Hello Roy.

I've just downloaded the app to try, just one doubt.
Who does it work with QTR driver? When I look at the Print Color Mangt section it has all my system profiles, not the QTR ones, so I got confused...
best,
André

After purchasing QTR-PT, I've started using it.

So far, so good. (MacIntel and Epson printers over a wifi network)

I have two things on my want-list for the program:

1) On-the-fly sharpening. Adding a print-sharpening layer in Photoshop adds another layer I must remember to delete before saving a final version. It would be very convenient to making print-sharpening choices at the very time I print. Lightroom and Aperture offer this. (also Qimage for Windows and ImageNest for Mac)

2) A way to set special paper dimensions *within QTR-PT itself*. The only reason I want something other than the (Mac Epson) driver dialogues, is that I still think of print and paper sizes in inches, but the dialogues require metric measurement. Yes, I can and do make the conversions, but this should not be necessary, given the ease with which computers can do this sort of thing behind the scenes.

I want the SAVE AS to work so I can save reusable setups.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
