Definitely buying a new printer. What do you recommend?

Definitely buying a new printer. What do you recommend?

2012-11-02 by Scott

On my previous thread I asked about replacing my epson 1400. We she passed away today, so I am shopping. My main work is gallery quality black and white. Pretending that money is not an object, what's the best b and w printer now? Does the abw system exceed the eboni 6 tank?

Any and all suggestions and opinions are welcome!

Scott

Get the Epson 1430..It uses the same chipped cartridges as the 1400, and all the same profiles..The basic difference is that the 1430 is WI-FI compatable, which is of no use to me in what I am doing..I have 2 -1400's, and if one of them gave up the ghost, I'd immediately get a 1430 to replace it..

Isn't it wonderful when the BEST printer you can get is also the CHEAPEST and most CONVIENIENT? I have a 1400 that is still working welll, but at $199 for a refurb, I'm tempted to get one both to have a dedicated B&W printer and a 'free' set of color cartridges!
