Labs using Piezography inks?

Labs using Piezography inks?

2013-02-09 by harold.trimble

Hello,

(Apologies if this has been asked and answered...)

Are there any recommended labs using Piezography inks? I'm intrigued by them, but I'm not sure I want to do this myself, and I'm sure I don't want to convert over my printer just yet.

Thanks,
Harold

I use them but not in the conventional way you would if getting the system for yourself. There are many to recommend and I'd hesitate to anger any friends I might forget to mention. Cone Editions has their own print on demand very affordable service you might try to see what inkset you like. That's the hardest decision, and also may determine what lab you select.

Hi,

I've been offering Carbon Sepia and Selenium Piezography inksets from my pay to print studio since 2006. Can print both matte and glossy papers at very completive pricing. Also can matte and or frame finished prints for quick turn around. My output is very accurate to your calibrated monitor. If you'd like to discuss you can call me.

Do you need the negative, or can you work with a computer image? Thanks,

Either way, a digital file is fine but I also still process color & b/w film and then hi rez scan . the end result is pretty much the same although there can be some advantage still with film such as the TriX look and or large format film for resolution. The film part is just IMHO.
