MIS VM curves for 2000P on Mac

MIS VM curves for 2000P on Mac

2002-03-07 by bboycenorris

Has anyone out there successfully modified paul's pc curves for the
2000P to work with a Mac. I contacted him and he suggested it might
be a rather difficult revision and since I'm new to hex B&W digital
printing I could use all the help I can get. Many thanks,

First off, have you tried the PC curves on your Mac? They may look good as
is - the PC curves for the 1160 look good for me on my Mac without
adjustment.

If they look linear (like each step in the wedge is about as clearly
delineated as the others, and the color looks uniform across the wedge) but
it's just a little too dark or too light, you might be able to compensate
with the gamma adjustment in the Advanced pane of the driver (I think the
2000 has this), or you might be able to assign a different gamma to your
file just before printing.

But the first test is to see how well they do as is.
