Bizarre behavior from 1400

Printing on some tissue paper. The leading edge of the image (what is first printed) is coming out noticeably denser in the first 3 mm or so, then evens out for the rest of the print. Printing about a 5x6 image on 8.5x11 paper. Any ideas?
